Information sent to us by Th. Eekhoff: The Ghost Town of Ophir doesn't exist anymore! In the last couple of years, the town was "redesigned" by land owners who destroyed the old homes and put their "palasts" there. Almost all the mines in the area are back in business, and if you have a look at the village, it seems to be a very profitable business. The village has become a small town where foreigners are not welcome at all. I find it sad that the Americans destroy their last original remains of their heritage.
